Privacy

5Mjsp is operated by Middleman Direct (ABN 91 896 498 660). This page says what we collect and who else sees it.

What we collect

• Sign-in with Discord: your Discord id, name, handle, email address and the date your Discord account was created. We use them to make sure each person has one account, and so staff can deal with abuse. We never post anything or join any server for you, and we don't keep your Discord tokens.
• Your username and activity: the username you choose, your listings, posts, ratings and trades. Other members see your username, not your Discord or your email.
• Private messages are visible only to the two people in them. Staff see a message only if one of the two people reports it.
• Forum Gold records: every purchase, transfer and escrow, with amounts and times, and the purchase agreement you accepted. We keep these as financial records.
• Connection and device signals: to spot one person running many accounts we keep a keyed hash of your connection and of a device cookie. We do not store your raw IP address or the cookie itself.
• Cookies: a sign-in session cookie and a device cookie. Both are needed for the site to work and for abuse prevention.
• Images you upload are stored on our server and shown where you post them.

Who can see who you are

Members and server owners cannot see your Discord. Site staff can see which Discord account belongs to which username. That is how we ban abusers and handle disputes, and we say so at sign-up. Pick a username that has nothing to do with your Discord or in-game names.

Other companies that handle data

• Discord to sign you in, and if you join our Discord server and open a ticket, what you tell us there.
• Stripe takes card payments. We never see your card number. Stripe has its own privacy policy.
• Cloudflare delivers the site and sees the traffic that passes through it, including your IP address.
• Google AdSense shows ads on public pages (below).

Advertising

Ads help pay for hosting. We show Google AdSense ads on public pages (the home page, server marketplaces, listings, community boards, profiles and the rules). Google may set cookies and receives your IP address and the page you are viewing, and may show ads based on your browsing. Ads never appear on pages where you pay, trade, sign in, read messages or use your account. Learn how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and an ad blocker will stop them loading. Staying anonymous matters here: if you do not want Google to see you on public pages, use an ad blocker.

Keeping and deleting data

Records of purchases and escrows are kept as long as we need them for accounting and disputes. If you want your account or other personal information corrected or deleted, open a ticket in our Discord: log in, use the Discord icon at the top of the site to join, pass the quick verification, then use #open-a-ticket. We may have to keep financial records and records needed to stop abuse. See also the rules and the purchase agreement.
